As you develop the role of music in the school, you need to raise the awareness of the local community as to what is actually happening, and how exciting it is.
To illustrate this, let’s invent a fictional school: Hendrix Academy. You and your team have made a concerted effort to raise the standards of classroom music teaching at the school, and it has worked. All staff are now confident of delivering the newly–designed curriculum, and there is an established series of performances, school concerts and other musical events. In other words Hendrix Academy is now a musical school, but does anybody else know about it?
